Apple ordered to stop selling iPhone 6, 6 Plus in Beijing

The Apple iPhone has more trouble in China. This time, a Beijing regulator has told Apple it can no longer sell the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus in the city. The regulator said those models of iPhone [UNKNOWN] of a patent held by [UNKNOWN]. That patent relates to the exterior design of the company's 100C smartphone. The 100C and the iPhone 6 do resemble each other. They're both phones dominated by a touch screen with rounded corners. The ear speakers also share a similar design. The Intellectual Property Office said the Apple iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have minor differences from Baili's 100C. The differences are so tiny that the average customer could not notice. So this case falls into the patent rights protection category. What kind of impact will this order have? Well, some Beijing stores have already stopped selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, favoring the newer 6s and 6s Plus. The order also seems odd since the iPhone 6 and 6s are virtually identical.
