We've been working over the past year to build a bunch of new products.
I think today, it was a little over 70 new products and services that we packed into a short time.
So it's been incredible the invention and the pace of invention that our teams have been able to do over the past year.
I think it really highlighted about how many different places we can bring Alex over the coming year.
We've introduced a bunch of new products that bring it a lot of different places, including more places in your home and in your car.
And then we also highlighted the ability for Alexa to improve how she can show you things, not only on a new Echo Show, but also through partners on.
Tablets from Lenovo and TVs from Sony as an example.
Our mental model is really trying to build a new interface, originally it was for the home.
And we think of it as an ambient user interface, one that you wan walk in and it works equally well for you, a family member, or a guest at a dinner party.
And it's very different than the experience you would get on your phone where it's kind of a one on one experience.
And so today was about extending where else an ambient experience will work.
Different rooms of your house, different use case like the smart home but also with the addition of echo auto bringing it on the go in your car.
If you're commuting.
40, 50 minutes a day, no better place for an ambient user interface to ask for your favorite song, or add something to your to do list, than when you're driving in your car.
Yeah, we've always, in our design group, focused on making products that kind of disappear into the background.
That we don't think of them as Showpieces of piece of furniture.
But as we've had more and more devices in the home, we have tens of millions of them now, we've discovered that people do put them in lots of different rooms, lots of different decors.
And we wanted to actually make them To fit in more there and disappear so our sort of trend this year was to more fabrics more softer looks multiple color that on the new echo show and the new echo dot they are all sort of built with that fabricated.
The plug for us is really to get a reference design out there for this vision we have of frustration for set up.
You know, no matter...
How many smart devices you have and some homes have hundreds of them.
It's not as easy as it could be, and so we're kinda setting off on this ten, multi-year journey for sure, to try to make smart devices super simple.
Just plug them in, and they work.
That's not gonna be easy.
And the plug.
the smart plug is about trying to build a device that shows the way for that, and the good news is we would expect the TP links of the world, and the [UNKNOWN] of the world, we hope that they follow along.
The APIs are free, and if that means we're not building a plug in a couple of years that will be great The amps and link are a little bit different.
We saw a want to integrate Alexa deeply into those kinds of products.
And I hope Sonos does that.
I'm a big Sonos customer, so I hope they build into, and I think I have seven of their bridge products.
And so I'd love to try to see them integrate Alexa, I'm hoping they will over time, and ours is just another choice for customers.
Certainly, YouTube is a website, and you can go to any website from that browser or Firefox browser.
Silk [UNKNOWN], as you mentioned, and Firefox.
But we also think customers, and we've seen it in the beta testing of the browsers, they wanna go to a whole host of different sites.
They wanna go to NPR, they wanna go across the web, and not all those websites have had the ability to integrate with our skills kit, or our new video skills kit, and this gives you an opportunity, whether it's in the kitchen, or in another room in the house, to get to those websites as well.
We're just so excited to get these out to customers, and I can't wait for you to try them, and also for hopefully millions of customers to try them as well.
