This is CNET and here the stories that matter right now, Microsoft is laid out its plans for the next year of devices and beyond at an event packed with announcements, a surface three laptop is coming October 22nd in two sizes, a 13 and a half and 15 inch version starting at 999 and 1199 99 respectively.
A new Surface tablet is also coming a 13 inch Surface Pro X that will run on an ARM processor, a Microsoft custom version of a Qualcomm SQ one but the most dazzling products revealed at Microsoft's event after be the pair of dual screen devices.
The Surface Neo is a foldable tablet that features duel nine-inch displays in a clamshell design that can be used in a wide number of configurations.
It also supports a magnetic keyboard and Stylus that both hope to improve productivity, as well as creativity.
Not to be outdone, Microsoft did have one more thing to reveal.
A brand new phone called the surface duo.
The duo looks a lot like a miniaturized version of the surface Neo with two displays that fold into each other.
It also supports a stylist.
But the big surprise here is that it's an Android phone.
It's not going to be easy for Microsoft to get back into the phone game.
The partnering with Google for its operating system is a good first step.
You'll have plenty of time to consider the surface Neo and surface Duo.
Because even though they were only just announced, they both won't see the light of day until the 2020 holiday season.
