>>So, you've got a new Google Voice account but aren't sure how to get started forwarding calls to your phone? I'm Jessica Dolcourt with CNET and here's how to activate a phone in Google Voice. Having Google Voice forward your calls to multiple phone numbers like your home phone, your office phone or your cell phone is one of the best benefits of Google Voice. Here's how you do it. From the browser go to www.Google.com/Voice and log into your Google account. Click Settings in the upper right corner next to your Google Voice phone number. You should now be on the top called phones, click the links you see at the bottom of the screen to add another phone. Name the phone, add the number then click Activate Google Voice Mail on this phone. You'll see a window pop up giving you a code to enter onto your phone's dial pad. This varies based on your carrier. Dial the number you see exactly as you see it then wait for the confirmation. In some cases you'll also need to enter a short code on the dial pad before the setup is complete. When you're all done check the box next to the number or numbers you want the Google Voice number to call. After you've activated the phone numbers, any call to your central Google Voice number should ring all the phones you've check marked. That's all for this how to. I'm Jessica Dolcourt.
