-Good things can come in little packages.
That??s what Apple is betting.
Reports of a smaller sibling to the full-sized iPad have been circulating for months.
But, the rumors will probably be put to rest Tuesday with the introduction of an iPad Mini.
-The big rumor is that we??ll have a 7.85 inches screen.
To put that in comparison, the current iPad is 9.7 inches.
So, it??s noticeably smaller and you??ll typically have something.
It??s a little bit closer to a Kindle Fire or a Galaxy Nexus.
-Long time Apple observers may recall that Steve Jobs famously rejected the idea of a 7-inch device, so why the change of heart?
-He, once, totally went against the whole idea of having a smaller device saying, ??People would need to shave their fingers down with sandpaper to use it.??
But, at the same time, competitors really proved that-- that smaller device seem kind of work.
-Even in a crowded marketplace, Apple offers something unique.
-The Apple is introducing this supposed of iPad Mini in October 23rd
which is also the same day that the Microsoft??s Surface goes on sale.
And then, a few days later, Windows 8 actually appears.
This is going to be a very crowded space.
-For consumers in trench in the Apple ecosystem, the iPad Mini maybe an easier so.
It easily syncs with your other iDevices.
It gives you more screen real state than an iPhone and it cost less than an iPad.
-But, that doesn??t mean it will be a bargain.
Prices for the petite iPad are expected to range between $200 to $400.
