Hey guys, this is Brian Bennett for cnet and right now we're taking a first look at the Capresso MT600 coffee maker.
Now this coffee maker offers, you know, decent amount of features and a pretty nice design for just a $130.
Now if you look at this machine the first thing I notice about it is it has this very slick brush metal design here.
Also nice is that it gives you the ability to either use the supply that permanent gold filter.
Or use type four paper filters.
Also pretty slick that the water tower which holds ten cups of water also has this really easy to read water level indicator on the side.
On the right side you have this.
Little tiny operation panel here.
You can, press buttons here to engage the auto mode, program the clock and the brew time, so you wake up to your fresh-brewed java.
It's a little small though, so you gotta kinda pay attention to what you're doing.
Also nice is you get a filter, which is inside the water tank.
It holds a charcoal pod.
This baby brews ten cups at a time.
It can manage to do this in under eight minutes, which is pretty good.
Also nice is you can pull out the thermal carafe.
While it's brewing, in case you can't wait for that cup of coffee, and I know that's my problem in the morning.
Now, if you're expecting a truly transcendent cup of coffee from this bad boy, I'm afraid that's not gonna happen.
It essentially gives you a decent cup of coffee with.
You know certain amount of flavor, pretty good.
It's very drinkable but it's not going to blow you away.
For that you're going to have to spend at least $200 and up for a premium machine from either Technivorm or Bonavita.
I'm Brian Bennet for CNet.com.
