You see Volvo designers stretched the section of the body to give the S 90 rear wheel drive proportions, even though it's still has transverse the mounted engines.
Automakers almost never do this like ever.
Look at other front drive based vehicles and see how small this section of the body is.
By giving it a generous dash to axle measurement, that's basically the distance from the cower to the centre line of the front wheels, the S90 looks properly upscale.
You'll never guess it's front wheel drive based.
Now the sporty R design model looks particularly fetching.
With its black exterior accents, optional 20 inch wheels and metallic paint.

I mentioned power trains a few moments ago.
And for model year 2020 Volvo was offering a choice of just two in this car that's down from three in past model years.
Essentially they've eliminated the base offering but Either way you go, they're centered around a two liter four cylinder engine.
The standard unit is both turbo and supercharged, which helps to crank out and impressive 316 ponies with 295 pound feet of torque.
A plug in hybrid drive train is optional.
And here they take that same engine and augmented with an 87 horsepower electric motor.
That's juiced by a 10.4 kilowatt hour lithium ion battery pack.
All told the system delivers 400 horsepower and 472 pounds of twist.
There's also an electric only driving range of up to 21 miles.
The S90 is offered in three trim levels, momentum, hour design, and inscription Now the standard engine is offered in each of these models, though you can only get that plug-in drive train in our design and inscription variants.

Another interesting aspect of this machine is that it's built in China.
Yes, the F 90 maybe is Swedish is Lincoln berry preserves and flat pack furniture.

It's also a welcome alternative to rivals like the Mercedes Benz, E-Class and BMW five series, which are literally everywhere.
Buy one of these Volvo's and I can almost guarantee you will stand out from the crowd.
Even though this brands overall sales are growing through September of this year, they delivered just 2,269 s 90s in the US.
And that is a disastrous performance, but it's great news if you dare to be different because nobody on your subdivision cul de sac or racquetball club is gonna have one.
