Save offline maps for places without internet access.
On iOS and Android open the Google Maps app and search for a destination.
Tap the name of your destination when it pops up.
Then press the icon with three dots in a line in the right hand corner of the app.
She's saved offline map from the options.
There's an easy way to share your location with others using Google Maps.
Tap on the geo locate icon, then press and hold on your location to drop a pin.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then tap share.
Use your voice to search instead of typing.
Just tap the microphone icon on the search bar and say something like, find gas stations or how do I get to the Ferry Building.
On android devices if you're in navigation mode you can also say commands like mute.
Unmute and what's my next turn.
