There's an easy way to share your location with others using Google Maps.
Tap on the geo locate icon, then press and hold on your location to drop a pin.

Just tap the microphone icon on the search bar and say something like, find gas stations or how do I get to the Ferry Building.
On android devices if you're in navigation mode you can also say commands like mute.
