Lexus has had tremendous success selling the RX over the past 20 years.
This is the brand's best seller after all, the current fourth generation models been around since 2016.
And now there's been a few years.
It's time for the 2020 version to get its requisite nip and tuck a thing At first glance, there's not much different from last year's model, but if you look closely, you'll spot the changes.
Notice the thinner headlights and the fog lights that sit at the bottom of the fascia.
Right smack dab in the middle of that mug is a new grill, too, populated with l-shaped blocks, instead of last year's slats.
Out back the alterations are more subtle, but the usefulness expands with the power rear lift gate that could be optioned with a kick sensor.
But the biggest news is arguably the tech that lies within.
The RX now comes with Android Auto.
This is the first Lexus to do so.
Apple CarPlay is also standard.
Base models will feature an 8 inch touch screen, but you can option up to a 12.3 inch unit.
Wondering whether the newest Lexus still uses the clunky remote touchpad on the center council?
Yup it's still there.
But just ahead of it is a nifty smartphone holder, as well as six usb ports throughout the cabin.
The Rx's built in tech gets extra smarts for 2020.
Dynamic voice command understands millions more phrases than other Lexus voice recognition sys-, The RX's driver assistance features get a capability boost too.
There's now traffic sign recognition, daytime bicyclist detection, and low-light pedestrian detection.
Lane centering is newly available too, and can even follow the car ahead in the absence of lane markings when the full-speed range adaptive cruise control is switched on.
Luxury crossover will come with a choice of a 3.5 liter V6 in the RX 350 or a 3.5 liter V6 augmented with hybrid power in the RX 450h pricing for the updated.
