2020 Hyundai Sonata brings an extra dose of style to New York Auto Show

The Hyundai Sonata has been on sale in the U.S for 31 years now and to my eyes at least, the newest model sitting behind me is their best looking model version yet.
Whether you agree with me or not though, it's kind of undeniable that this is a pretty unique looking machine.
I mean look at how they approach that LED signature on the front end The way the LED treatment on the front-end starts below the headlights, wraps around them, and then goes half way up the hood, I have to applaud that daring design.
Underneath that hood will come a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine with a 191 horsepower, and a 181 pound-feet of torque.
Optional would be at 1.6 liter turbocharge 4 cylinder, good for a 180 horsepower, and a 195 pound-feet of torque.
Regardless of which engine you choose though, both engines will be connected to an eight speed automatic transmission paired with front wheel drive.
According to Hyundai's preliminary estimates, you should be getting about 33 miles per gallon combined with a 2.5 litre, and about 31 miles per gallon combined with a turbo charged engine.
This model comes standard with an eight inch touchscreen, featuring Apple Car Play and Android Auto while higher end models will come with a 10.25 inch display A 12.3 inch reconfigurable internet cluster, and even head up display.
One interesting feature to look out for in the New Sonata is Hyundai's smart key system, which allows you to use your smartphone to lock and unlock your Sonata among may other things.
But there's one cavy out though.
It's only available for Android users.
So for Apple like me, it's a big womp, womp.
The 2020 Sonata goes on sale this October, and while pricing hasn't been announced yet, I expect the base price to come in at around $23,000 with the fully loaded model coming in at the low 30s.
