Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus juggles controversy and humanity
What would happen if Axis powers won World War II instead of the Allies?
Well, it would probably look something a lot like the World of Wolfenstein II, The New Colossus.
In my short preview time, I checked out two different areas.
The opening of the game and a sequence in a notsy occupied Roswell New Mexico.
The opening of new [UNKNOWN] is really cool.
Our hero dubbed Terror Billy by the nopsis wakes up from a coma inside a submarine.
And he needs to find his way out, but he's not exactly in great shape, so you'll have to fight your way out while Billy pushes himself around in a wheelchair.
It's awkward to control sometimes, but rolling a wheelchair and shooting Nazis is probably supposed to be an unnatural movement, and it totally works in the context of this The story.
You can also choose to build price nopsis inside elaborate traps.
On the other hand in Roswell, you will be walking around town in the middle of a parade, each dropping on some chilling conversations and experiencing a very tensed moment involving milk shakes and identification papers.
After that it was down into the tunnels leading to Area 52 which not only housed a major Nazi headquarters but also was host to some super weird and or supernatural stuff.
This is the third installment of this particular Wolfenstein reboot so if you've played either 2009s Wolfenstein or 2014s Wolfenstein The New Order, you'll run across some very familiar faces.
Both friendly and not so friendly.
The game play is generally standard at PS fair with some really cool moments and details we expect from Bethesda.
But the best part of Wolfenstein is it's humanity.
There's some real heart At the core of the story.
And I expect the full game will expand on that idea.
Wolfenstein The New Colossus hits Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 27, 2017.
