The US Department of Justice has charged a North Korean spy for the 2014 Sony hack.
During that breach, thousands of confidential Sony emails were leaked, amongst other things.
The DOJ says that Park Jin Hyok was hacking for North Korea's Reconnaissance General Bureau.
That is the country's military intelligence agency.
also accused him of helping develop the ransomware Wannacry which affected more than 300,000 computers worldwide.
These charges are the first U.S. case against a North Korean hacker.
Apple has been given the okay to acquire Shazam by the European commission.
If you're unfamiliar with Shazam, its app can identify music using your phone's microphone.
Apple confirmed it was a acquiring the company back in December of 2017.
While Apple has not accounced a purchase price Tech Crunch reported the deal is somehwere in the neighborhood of $400,000.
The EC says that the merger would not adversely affect competition in the European Economic Area or any substantial part of it.
Amazon has updated its Fire HD tablet.
The new Fire tablet can bring up Amazon's voice assistant even when the screen is in standby mode.

The new Fire HD 8 tablet will ship on October 4th, and cost the same as the last model, $80.
