Top 5 Under the Radar business apps

>> Hi, I'm Rafe Needleman from Webware.com. This is Josh Lowensohn from Webware. We're at the Under the Radar Event in Mountain View [applause] where we just took a look at about 40 new business and productivity apps for Web 2.0.

>> Rafe Needleman: We pick out five of our favorite of these apps, many of which have never been released before. Josh, tell us about your favorites.
>> Josh Lowensohn: One of my favorites is Orgoo. This is a company that lets you check, chat and e-mail in the same place. So you can talk to people on different IM networks and check e-mail from different e-mail services. This saves you a lot of time. You don't have to have multiple software applications. You can just see everything in one window and it's really simple.
>> Rafe Needleman: So, kind of like Trillian, but for everything.
>> Josh Lowensohn: Yeah. You don't even saw anything.
>> Rafe Needleman: Cool. What else?
>> Josh Lowensohn: I really like Vello. Now, Vello is a company that solves a really big problem which is having to remember conference call numbers and the PIN numbers that lets you get in. How it works is you just load in a bunch of phone numbers from outlook or anywhere else, and it calls everyone at the same time. They don't have to call you. So this keeps you from having to wait for someone to show up or having to remember to write down numbers.
>> Rafe Needleman: Ah cool. All right. So my favorites were first of all Blist, which we've covered before. Blist is a very capable web-based database but it's all done in Flash and the user interface makes the complex ins and outs of running a database really simpler than anything else I've ever seen on the web. I also really like NuConomy. This is a sort of complex product that does web analytics but instead of measuring clicks which almost all the other analytics programs do, this one measures engagement. It will tell you which of your users are generating the most user-generated content, which of your writers are the most attractive to the users. This is the kind of analytics that the Web 2.0 really needs. I think our favorite company here, I know our favorite company here, was SlideRocket. Josh, tell us about that one.
>> Josh Lowensohn: So this is a presentation tool and instead of using software, you can do it everything on the web. It's kind of similar to Apple's Kino or a really pretty version of Microsoft PowerPoint. It involves all sorts of web services in that you can just plug in your presentations. But the best thing is you can work on them when you're off line, too.
>> Rafe Needleman: So it's online, it's off line. It reads in Google Spreadsheets, it reads in Flickr Images. It's a stunning app. We'll have some invite close to the private beta really quickly. So I'm Rafe Needleman. This is Josh Lowenson. We're here from Webware.com. Thanks a lot.
