Tips to help your smartphone work betterIf Santa didn't leave the latest and greatest smartphone under the tree this holiday season, there are ways you can make your current phone run just like new! CNET's Sumi Das has tips.
-You've used and possibly abused it all year. Now the 2012 has coming to an end. Why not show your smartphone a little love with some simple maintenance to keep it humming along in 2013. First, take stock of all the applications on your phone. -How many apps does a normal person use? Probably a lot fewer than they actually have installed on their phone. There's upstick up space especially if you got a notifications or alerts running in the background-- -Delete any apps -You don't use. You can always reinstall them later. -You should also remove anything else from your phone that is chewing up memory and likely making your phone sluggish. Text messages, e-mails, voicemails and the worst defenders, photos. -But not really running down your battery but you might find that you wanna get rid of them and you'll have a lot more space for other things that you do. You use it and listen to like apps and music. -Clearing your cache can also improve your phones performance. To do this, you may have to go into the settings for a specific applications such as your browser. Another option, use an app to keep tabs on your phone.
