United States of America has a big problem with guns, so why not take old, unused guns and turn them into something positive?
Like a robotic flute instrument, for example.
San Francisco-based artist Constantine Zlatev is doing just that.
Using Arduino microprocessors in a raspberry pi computer board.
He is repurposing old shotguns and turning them in to flute instruments that play music based on the annual rise and fall of U.S. arms exports between 1960 and 2009.
For the last gun he designed, every fall in exports, a cheerful tune is played with an upbeat melody
For every rise in arms sales, the music is more somber.
Check out the entire gun flute video in the crave blog post.
