CNET First Look
The LG Optimus M+ is a welcomed updateThe LG Optimus M+ is an update to last year's original Optimus M. Compared to its predecessor, it sports a larger screen, a better camera, and a sleeker design.
Hello, everybody. It's Lynn here at CNET, bringing you guys the LG Optimus M+. Now, the M+ is an updated version of last year's M and I'm glad to see that this model went through a nice re-design. This (reach in?) both a slightly bigger at 3.5 inch Capacitive Touch Screen display and compared to it's predecessor, it's slimmer and it's corners aren't as rounded as before. I like the convex edges here at the bottom and top. I'm not a huge fan of this plastic texture backing because it does feel a little cheap. This Android Gingerbread handset is powered by an 800 Megahertz processor and a 1300 milliAmp per hour battery, which translates to a reported talk time of 3.3 hours. On the back, there's a 5 Megapixel camera. The camera could record video with a resolution of up to 640 x 40 ADP and there's also an LED Flash. Unfortunately, there is no front taking camera on this device. Now, being a MetroPCS phone, the device does come with a lot of pre-loaded MetroPCS and even some Yahoo Apps that thankfully, can be uninstalled. If you're interested, the device is going for a $129 online at MetroPCS. For 50 bucks a month, you'll get your usual unlimited talk, text, data and e-mail, but for all you music lovers out there. If you can extra $10 a month, you'll also get access to the music subscription service, Rhapsody Unlimited Music. Again, I'm Lynn showing you guys the LG Optimus M+.
