Tech minute: Web sites to help you keep calm and carry on during the holidays
-Research has proven that spending time in nature or even looking at photos of nature can lower our stress levels.
If that's the case and if it works for you, then check out calm.com.
The website gives you a choice of several nature settings to look at and offers 2 or 10 minute meditation sessions with or without a guided sound track to listen to.
Similar, but sillier is the website calmingmanatee.com.
Manatees are docile marine mammals that someone thought would soothe the nerves.
Some amenity and you're treated to a large colorful nature photo with a reassuring directive like keep your head up or I still believe in you.
Maybe these sites work for you.
Maybe they don't, but since they're both pretty used, they're a whole lot cheaper than a therapy session.
