CNET First Look
T-Mobile SpringBoardCompact, 4G, and dual-core are the magic words to describe this surprisingly compelling Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet built by Huawei.
-Hey everyone, I'm Jessica Dolcourt for cnet.com here in CTIA and I'm looking here at the T-Mobile Springboard. This is a 7-inch android 3.2 honeycomb tablet. It's manufactured by Huawei, but it's programmed with T-Mobile. So, T-Mobile has really customized it the way it wants to. One of those customizations that you can see is that they're already 5 separate home screens that are organized by entertainment, social networking, productivity, and then there's one for you to basically customize on your own. So, it's a 1.2 gigahertz dual-core processor that runs the show. It's also HD. It's 1280 x 800 pixels, so that's a pretty high pixel density. It looks pretty good and, you know, it's kind of a small screen, but it does look really clear and really bright so that's something that's really nice about it. It has also got an aluminum unit body. It's got a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. There is WiFi of course and 4G support. Plus, there is HDMI out. There's surround sound and there is up 6 hours of battery life. Pricing and availability has not been announced yet, but we are told that we will be very impressed with the low cost of this, so this again is the T-Mobile Springboard; and it is a 4G dual-core 7-inch tablet.
