Sony's latest high end TVs happen to be brighter than ever.
The V series has three different sizes, ranging through it's 65, 75 and 100 inch.
All using Sony's backlight masterdrive technology, that was first showcased as a prototype at CES 2016.
It's a new backlight design for HDR that Sony claims expands brightness and contrast even more than before.
Each LED can be dimmed individually, so, in theory, this reduces blooming.
While we weren't allowed to show you a side-by-side comparison, Portion of the TV next to all the panels, the V series enhances HDR content and provided greater detail and contrast.
It's also really, really bright.
Sony isn't disclosing any numbers but the company says it's the brightest on the market.
Expect the TVs to be released in late summer this year for 7,000 U.S.
dollars on the 65" $10,000 for the 75-inch and a yet-to-be-decided price on the 100-inch.
