>> I'm John Falcone, Senior Editor at CNET.com and this is the Sonos BU150. This is the latest iteration of the Sonos Digital Music System, which is an audio streamer. Hook this up to your home network and to the home stereos or speakers systems around your house and you can access all the digital music on your PC or Mac and also a lot of Internet streaming services including Sirius, Rhapsody and Pandora. Now Sonos has been around for a few years and this is pretty similar to the existing configurations, but they've upgraded to have faster wireless. The larger base station, the ZP120 hooks up to a pair of speakers, while the smaller one hooks up to an existing audio system with speakers. And you control both of them and you can add several others with the CR100 wireless remote control. It's a very nice iPod-like wireless control with a scroll wheel and a really big nice color screen. One of the big advantages of the Sonos system is that it's very easy to set up. The Sonos players just have two buttons on them basically volume and mute and you just link them all together by pressing both at the same time, they pop up with the controller and you're good to go. The one caveat to all that is while these all communicate wirelessly, you need at least one wired connection to your home network. The other problem with the Sonos is price versus value. This is a two-room system and it's actually expandable up to 32 rooms, if you buy more of the Sonos player, but if you're looking for a smaller single room system, or even one that works in two rooms, there are cheaper alternatives from Apple and Logitech. That being said, this is all in all an excellent multi-room digital audio system. You could pay a lot more for this type of system from a custom installer and get a lot less. It's very easy to use and it does deliver a lot of value in a home audio system. I'm John Falcone for CNET and this is the Sonos B150.
