Search bookmarks and history super quick in Google Chrome
I'm obsessed with time so the faster I can do something on a computer the better.
Here's a Google Chrome tip on how to find something in your bookmarks or history super quick.
First up go to Google Chrome settings and click manage search engines under the search menu.
Scroll all the way to the bottom and add two new search engines.
For the bookmark search, type in bookmark search for the search engine name.
Then pick a keyword.
I'm gonna go with B. The URL is really easy to remember.
Chrome://bookmarks/?#q=%s Or, you can cut and paste it from the related How To article at www.cnet.com.
Or, the history search will repeat those steps named as History search put in a keyword, I'm gonna go with, and now I'll type in the other easily memorable url chrome://history/?#q=%s.
Now when you want to find a bookmark you can type in b in the omnibar, then a space and search for something.
Try it with [INAUDIBLE] to embarrass yourself at how often you check amazon.com for things.
Oh, one more quick tip, did you know you could put any URL in the search engine?
Let's say you regularly go to a folder within Google Drive.
You can cut and paste that long link To that folder, as a search engine, and then add a keyword.
So now, when I type top five in the omni bar, boom.
Chrome takes me to that folder.
Now that you know these tricks, think of all the time you're going to save.
You can use all those spare seconds to learn to play piano, or like learn to move things with your mind.
