Samsung's Chromebook Plus V2 is premium without the big price
Between Chrome's webstore and Android apps through Google Play, the idea of having a premium Chromebook makes more sense these days.
What's nice is even premium models like Samsung's updated Chromebook plus, are still affordable at $500.
That's the same price as the previous version, but Samsung swapped its ARM-based processor for a faster Intel Celeron for better web and app performance.
While keeping battery life long at a little over nine hours in our video streaming test.
And like that previous version, it's a two in one so you can use it as a laptop or a tablet and it has a pen stashed in the side for writing or drawing Signing documents or taking screenshots of just what you want.
New to this plus is an F one nine 13 megapixel camera with autofocus just above the keyboard.
So in tablet mode you can take fast shots or use it for video chats in tent mode, making it a little more useful for work or school.
That certainly adds to the other premium features, like a micro SD card slot so you have more storage space when you need it, a USB 8 port so you don't need to use USB-C dongle for everything and a nice bright 12.2 inch full HD display, about the only thing missing here's a backlight for the keyboard, but at least it spill resistant and relatively comfortable to use despite the small size.
And it's all wrapped up in a metal and plastic body that weighs less than three pounds.
So while you may not be laying out a lot of cash here, you still get a two in one that looks and feels good
