Run Android apps on PCs and MacsIf you've ever wanted to move from your phone to a bigger screen, it's easier than ever to run Android apps on your computer.
There's an easy way to run Android apps on your Mac or PC, and it's free. The solution is BlueStacks Apps Player. Now, the app's been around for awhile, and now there's a new version for Mac. It supports Windows XP and higher, as well as Mac OS X Maverick through Yosemite. Download and install the app player at Bluestacks.com. When you start up the Bluestacks app, you'll see the app player launcher. You should probably install an app or two, so hit the search button, and type in whatever you want. I'm going to get myself Philips Hue because I have some of those smart [UNKNOWN] lying around the house. This search will initialize a little set up enabled in the app store and [UNKNOWN]. This should seem very familiar if you've every used an Android device before. Log into your Google account After you set that up, you can get apps from the GooglePlay store. Installation is what you'd expect. Go to the Play store, find an app, hit install. There is even a drawer that you can pull down to access your music player and see notifications. Now, not all apps will work perfectly. The Phillips Hue app was able to control my lights in my apartment, but the Harmony Universal Remote app couldn't connect properly.
