Restore lost Recycle Bin shortcutIf you accidentally delete the Recycle Bin from your Windows Vista desktop, here's how to get it back.
Stonehkm posted on the CNET forums after accidentally deleting the recycle bin in Windows Vista. One day, I did the right click on the recycle bin and, unlike XP, there is a ''delete'' option. I blinked and clicked this, instead of ''empty." Now how the heck do I re-install the recycle bin? John Wilkinson posted the answer in the forums. Here it is. The "Delete" option when right-clicking the Recycle Bin is new, giving you the option of removing the shortcut from your desktop easily. But that's all it does, remove the shortcut. The recycle bin is there. So all you need to do is restore the shortcut to your desktop. Go to the Windows button, aka start menu. Choose control panel. Choose Appearance and Personalization. Choose Personalization. Chose "Change desktop icons," from the left-hand column. From there, just check Recycle Bin and click OK. Your recycle bin should reappear.
