Quick Tips: Fast access to Windows foldersUse Launchy to access your Windows directories lickety-split.
>> Hey I'm Tom Merritt from CNET dot com, here's a quick tip for faster access of your windows directories using LaunchE. Now if you don't know LaunchE it's a free keystroke launcher. Once you install it, you press alt spacebar and then type in any program you're looking for, comes up, and you're on your way. Great for Windows XP users, but lets say I don't want to a program. What if I want to find my music? Well LaunchE finds nothing, let's fix that. Click the little gear icon, select the catalogue tab, press the plus sign, now browse through to your mine music folder, next tell it what files to index; could be docs, images, in our case here - MP3's. I'll type in MP3 here in the box, then press the plus sign. Just in case I'll type in AAC2, now press rescan catalogue and press okay. Let's try it, I type in music, and my iTunes music folder comes up. I type in Logan Whitehurst and a directory of my Logan Whitehurst music comes up. Easy as pie, the kind you eat, not the kind you calculate. That's it for this quick tip; I'm Tom Merritt for CNET dot com. [ music ]
