[ Background music ] >> Tom Merritt: Hey at CES 2010 I'm Tom Merritt for CNET.com taking a look at the Psycho 5.1 Xbox gaming headset. You may remember the PC version of this from last year. Same concept you've got surround sound on your head, scientifically placed speakers so that you get surround sound from your games but this one is for the Xbox. The way they do it is this device here which takes the sound from the Xbox either from the optical cord or from an RCA cord and then sends it back out through these jacks to the headset so that you get the surround sound of the Xbox. There'll also be a microphone that will be connected to the controller. Now the cool thing is if you already bought the 5.1 PC gaming headset system they say they will be making the extra box available sold separately so that you can just buy it and plug your existing headphones in or you can buy these and use them with both your PC and your Xbox. Now I accidentally put them on the vaporware list from last year but they did ship PC headsets so they were a little loafed to give me an exact target date this time but they say they will sometime later in 2010 be shipping these and the price will be $299. Once again it's the Psycho 5.1 Xbox gaming headset. At CES 2010 I'm Tom Merritt.
