Portable chargers that do more than juice up your phoneWith the TSA and UK cracking down on passengers with uncharged devices, there's even more reason not to have a dead phone battery. CNET's Sumi Das looks at several portable chargers that pull double-duty with additional features.
[MUSIC] It's never good to be caught with a dead cellphone battery. Especially now that the TSA can confiscate uncharged mobile devices from passengers. Portable chargers can help keep the mobile while powering your mobile phone. The iFrog's Go Light is slightly larger than a lipstick case and can charge your smart phone by connecting a USB cord here. It costs between $20 and $30 and also doubles as a flashlight. The $50 Tenergy Arc 5200 has built in charging cables with a lightning connector for newer apple devices and a micro USB for android and windows phones. It can charge two devices at once, and comes pre-charged. For the iPhone 5 and 5s, the Mophie Space Pack not only boosts battery life, but storage, as well. The 16 gig version runs $150. The HooToo TripMate is the Swiss Army Knife of chargers and costs between $50 to 80. It functions as a mobile charger, a WiFi personal hot spot, and you can even plug in a USB stick for sharing media and additional storage. The ZAGGsparq 3100 plugs directly into an outlet so you don't need a separate cord to charge it. The $70 device holds enough juice for two charges and works with smartphones and tablets. And of course don't forget to charge your charger. In San Fransisco, I'm Sumi Das, CNet.com for CBS news.
