-What's happening, I'm Brian Tong and welcome to the Apple Byte for all the good and bad inside the world of Apple. We will announce our giveaway winners at the end, but first to the stories. Mobile World Congress is the largest mobile trade show in the world has wrapped up and even though Apple didn't show up at all, it still walks away with the Mobile Device of the Year award for the iPhone 4. It was given the award by judges for its great screen, sharp design, fantastic material, and phenomenal echo system for app developers. So, what could they be working on next to top that? Well Taiwanese webside, Apple proclaims the Big A is working on 3 hardware prototypes for the next gen iPhone. They say one model has a sliding cover that reveals a keyboard, another similar to the current iPhone 4 with improved battery life and a better camera and Digitimes is reporting that the iPhone 5 will use a 4-inch screen to better compete with android phone. Then the Wall Street Journal reported that a smaller less pricey iPhone that would be about half the size of the iPhone 4 and would target the mass market with a lower price point kinda like the iPhone Nano would be released potentially as well. Now you can choose to believe all of this or none of it, but as we get closer to June, the story will clear up. Apple is also looking a revamp its MobileMe service according to poles of Mac, it will not only include a digital locker to stream music and movies, something we've been waiting for since our Lala acquisition, but its looking to include a video streaming service like Ustream, a location-based checking system like Foursquare and geo-tagging service called Tokens. The center piece of it all would be a dynamic web page that is a mashup of all these elements that your mobile life or your MobileMe. Oh Apple you little clever. I see what you did there, MobileMe. In MacBook news, Apple insider has been told that the next gen MacBook Pro is currently in production and can be expected sometime around March which is about a year since their revamping in April 2010 and we are sure it will take some designs to use and features from the MacBook Air. Now CNET's own Brooke Crothers says the next MacBook Air Refresh will be some time in June according to his sources and if you're curious what features we might see, Apple gave us a hint with the survey they sent out to selected MacBook Air owners. Some of the questions focus on wireless 3G connectivity, web-based file storage and syncing, and processing power sparking hope that a more powerful MacBook Air with built-in 3G could be on its way. With all that news, I'm feeling like a Mac Daddy. -Some of them try to rhyme but they can't. Cause I'm the miggida miggida miggida Mac Daddy. Miggida miggida miggida Mac. Cause I'm the miggida miggida miggida Mac Daddy. Miggida miggida miggida Mac. I make you wanna Jump, jump. The Mac Dad will make you, jump, jump. -Cause I'm the miggida miggida miggida Mac Daddy. Cause I'm the miggida miggida miggida Mac Daddy-- -Brian, Brian. -What, what? -[unk] and I are gonna hang out with you. -Wait, wait, Jaime is that you? -Get on with the show. -Alright, alright. There's also some fall out from the Verizon iPhone 4 launch after sales appeared fallen below expectations and also predicting 1 million sales in the first 3 days while Boy Genius reports only 550,000 units were actually pre-ordered.
