>> Hi David Katzmaier, senior editor from CNET dot com and this is the Panasonic TH-58PZ750U. This is a 58 inch flat screen Plasma television. You can see it's pretty darn big, it's also Panasonic's most expensive television series this year so this TV really is a high end model, add a very large screen size, so it's not cheap. The TV has plenty of features that you would expect from a high end model, its 1080p resolution which does actually make a difference at this screen size especially if you sit relatively close to the screen. It's also got a few extra picture enhancements above and beyond the normal Panasonic line. It's got a pro setting menu which includes settings for gamma, color - temperature, that sort of thing allows you to tweak the picture a little bit. It's also got a studio reference mode, although that mode wasn't all it was cracked up to be; in our testing it actually was a little less accurate than after we decided to calibrate it ourselves. You go around back to find 2 HD MI inputs and there's another HD MI input under a panel on the front. There's also a PC input and 2 component video inputs on this TV, so connectivity is pretty darn good. For a TV this massive, Panasonic did go ahead and put an extra large bezel around the screen here, it's got glossy black around all 4 sides. To either side there's a thin strip that's the speakers, kind of invisible looking speakers here and the stand itself is a pretty large affair too; it's glossy to match the rest of the TV. The picture quality on this Panasonic TV is very good as we would expect from that manufacturer, they made good plasmas in the past and this is their best. It has very deep black bezels but not quite as deep as the very best Pioneer that we've seen, but still pretty darn good. Color accuracy is also very good, we could complain about these slightly inaccurate green primary color but it really doesn't ruin the picture and all things considered, it's a very good performer for a large screen plasma. Anyway that's a quick look at Panasonic's TH-58PZ750U plasma.
