Nokia E55 (unlocked)
>> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Nokia E55. It is a Smartphone by Nokia and it claims to be the world's thinnest Smartphone. While we can't verify this claim we have to say it is very slim as you can see under 1/2 an inch thick. On the front here you do get a very nice colorful display. It displays 1.6 million colors, very nice and vibrant and with that you do get the navigation controls. Using a hybrid QWERTY keyboard, not a full QWERTY keyboard so if you don't like having 2 letters per key here you won't like this keyboard. But for me personally I quite like it thanks to the E55's predicative text input. Even though the keys are quite flat to the surface, they do have slight grooves in between the keys so it's still easy to dial by feel. The Nokia E55 is all the features you would expect out of a Symbian series 60 device. It has all of the pin functionality that you expect out of it. You also get Microsoft Exchange server settings. You can get your IMAP and Pop 3 email on here as well as any Gmail, yahoo email that you would want. You also get a GPS thanks to Nokia's OV map services which are free. You also get access to Microsoft Office documents thanks to the Quick Office application. Overall the Nokia E55 has plenty of features to satisfy both the business user as well as the consumer. [ Background music ] The Nokia E55 is available for around $339 but that's the unlocked price which is pretty good in our opinion. I'm Nicole Lee this has been the first look at the Nokia E55. ^M00:01:36 [ Music ]
