Nintendo Classic Edition, hands-on: the Mini NES we always wanted30 classic games in a little box, and it's great.
The Nintendo NES is coming back for the holidays, and it's really, really tiny. The NES classic edition is the sort of Nintendo should have done years ago. It's stand alone package of 30 classic Nintendo games from the eighties. Bundled into a teeny tiny replica mini NES, along with a classic NES controller to play with. For 60 dollars, it offers a pretty awesome greatest hits collection of Nintendo's best, Super Mario one through three, Zelda and Zelda two, Metroid, and even third-party classics like Castlevania, Super C, and [UNKNOWN] ball, and this time, you'll actually be able to save any game midway through and take a break. The NES plugs into your TV via HDMI, but plays games back at original 4:3, stretched mode or even with CRT style video effects. Extra controllers cost $10 and unfortunately, you only get one in the box. The little NES controller replicas do plug into Wii remotes to play virtual console games on the Wii and Wii U however. You're getting decent value at $2.00 a game, and the games are all pretty good in this compilation. Grab one, plug it in, and bam, you're back in your 80s basement again. [MUSIC]
