CNET First Look
MPIO FY 800The MPIO FY 800 is a lightweight, Nano-like MP3 player that's great for on the go but prone to breakage.
[ Music ] ^M00:00:01 >> Hi, my name is Donald Bell. I'm the senior editor for MP3 and Digital Audio. Today, we're going to take a first look at the MPIOFY 800. It's a very tiny, nano sized, very light little player. Its supports flash memory, little flash door here for an external flash memory cards. Flash door just broke off, as I suspected, when I was reviewing this. There's other little plastic parts on this that I was worried about breaking too. I mentioned this in my review. This little USB door on the side here, which is just barely tethered on to the side of the device. Otherwise though, it's actually a pretty solid player. You get tapped out controls, all the standard, play, pause, menu, volume, scan buttons, and a dedicated recording button that's attached to it, so voice recorder feature. You could also do a recording for FM, that's going to be on this player as well. It's got a hold function on the side as well, and a little slot at the bottom of the device for headphones. It's a great, little, lightweight player for someone maybe wanting to take a player to the gym or have something that they don't need to feel in their pocket. I'm Donald Bell and that was the first look at the MPIOFY 800 MP3 player. ^M00:01:15 [ Music ]
