Amidst alll the big name phones from Samsung, Google, and Apple this year there's a chance you might have missed the Motorola Moto X4.
And that's a shame because the Moto X4 is a pretty great phone that doesn't cast an arm and a leg.
The phone features a 5.2 inch display.
It's rated [UNKNOWN] for water resistance and it has dual rear cameras with a wide angle lens.
There are also many ways you can get the phone.
You can buy it unlocked from Motorola or from Google on it's Project Fi network or from Amazon with Prime [UNKNOWN] This is important, because some MotoX4's have different software capabilities.
The MotoX4 from Motorola for example, has a cool new feature called MotoKey.
Which lets you to use your fingerprint to unlock third party apps and devices.
You can also connect up to four blue tooth devices at once.
So you can hook up a stereo setup or listen to music on wireless headphones.
Techphones with another friend.
And it's camera has object and landmark recognition.
You could also use Motorola's X4 to control your Amazon Alexa smart home speaker.
You'll be able to launch Alexa from your lockscreen using only the Alexa wake word.
If you don't like Alexa, you can use Moto's own voice control feature or Google Assistant, Google's Moto X4 doesn't have these features.
But it will get prompt and timely software updates including security patches as they roll out from Google.
As for voice assistance, there's only Assistant, which is actually the one I prefer anyway.
Since it's so well integrated with the Google ecosystem.
There are a few things that aren't so great about the phone though, for instance its Snapdragon 630 processor isn't the most powerful and the phone can be laggy Especially with the camera.
Speaking of the camera, its wide-angle lens distort images around the corners too severely.
The LG V30 in comparison also has a 120-degree wide-angle camera.
But its lines aren't as bent or warped.
At launch, the phone costs about $400 from Motorola and Google.
You can get it cheaper with Amazon Prime Prime edge for about $330.
But all through retailers have discounted the phones price since then.
So be sure to check to see what price and what version of the phone is best for you.
Still at an affordable sub $400 price the Motorola Moto X 4 makes for a solid feature packed phone.
