Martian Passport watch is wearable tech
-Hi guys, this is Brian Bennett at CES 2013.
And right now, we are taking a first look at the Martian Passport.
Now, this watch may look like an ordinary timepiece.
Up close, you can tell it actually is a little different.
It has an OLED display underneath its standard analogue display.
So that gives you some indication of what it can do.
Basically, it connects to your smartphone either through an Android or iOS
application and that lets you see alerts, text messages, emails, stuff from Facebook, the usual stuff, and you could see that all on the display.
You can also actually conduct phone calls via the watch itself.
So you can answer calls coming in from your phone and use the watch's microphone and speaker to actually carry out a conversation, kind of like Dick Tracy.
So, all now is a very interesting device, it is part of this new trend that we're seeing here at CES 2013 of wearable technology.
And if you want one, you can scoop one up for $299 at the Martian website.
I'm Brian Bennett and this has been a first look at the Martian Passport.
