James McAvoy spies insane action in 'Atomic Blonde'

Welcome to Berlin.
I do like the spy genre, I think.
I liked this, particularly, because it wasn't so [UNKNOWN] are [UNKNOWN] and inspires young [UNKNOWN] It was still very much about cloak and dagger, it was still very much about the very true elements that form that genre, you know, duplicity, espionage and people stabbing each other in the back, double agents, triple agents, quadruple agents, and all of that.
But it was all seen through the.
The lands of sex and drugs.
And I was gonna say rock and roll, but it's not just rock and roll, it's like techno and sort of like electro and sort of weird teeny music.
And there's this weird, feral Energy.
She's in all of it pretty much and she is nonstop.
I mean the physical side what she has to do every single day in a shot like that was unbelievable.
She was unrelenting.
And she sacrificed her body to do it and injured herself really badly a couple of times and just kept ploughing on.
Yeah, no, I broke it in the dying days of Split.
So, I phone up the director and I was like, I've got a broken hand, mate.
I'm really sorry.
If you wanna hire someone else I totally understand.
He was like, we'll make it work.
I think for the character, he was this weird, feral kind of dudes.
I think it would be quite nice just to have him just have [INAUDIBLE] we don't need to hide it make a virtue of it.
Which hand was it?
I think it was this hand.
No, I think it was my right hand.
He was a great guy to play.
And he was so down and so ugly, and so riddled with sexually transmitted diseases that I'd say it would be fun to see how he got there, especially if he started in a place that.
Pretty far away from that.
It's nice to see somebody go from I don't know, something a bit more solid, put together and more quintessentially stereotypically spy movie guy and then become this sort of I don't know, lover of.
He knows he's rushing to the gates of hell.
He just knows it.
Right, he's sort of gleefully doing it, he's going to enjoy every single minute he can on this Earth because he knows the spy game is going to kill him.
