Is Google building its own smartwatches?A report says we could see Android Wear watches coming from Google itself, not just its partners.
Is Google building its own smartwatches? Android police reports that Google is building two Android wear watches that could be released after the next Nexus phones are announced. One watch would include a hear rate monitor, LTE wireless and GPS. The second would be smaller But without GPS and LGE features. The report says the larger one could be code named Angelfish and it would feature a 43.5 millimeter round body like the Moto 360. Angelfish's screen would be a bit smaller than the 46 millimeter Moto 360. The band would meet the body of the watch in a smooth housing. Angel Fish would be about the same size as the LG or Vein LTE at 14 millimeters thick. The other watch is code-named Sword Fish and in order to police that Sword Fish is similar in design to the Pebble Time Round, but without the big fat bezel of a Time Round This watch is gonna be 42 millimetres diameter can be 10.6 millimetres thick. The report goes on to say google may be working on a new style of watch faces that makes it much faster to get info like notifications or music player controls. If you're curious, Google's next Nexus phones are rumored to be code named Sailfish and Marlin. Weird, Android is named for desserts, hardware carries sea life code names. Do fish and sweets pair well together? I'll just have to ask Google I guess. That's it for this Tech News Update. I'm Ayah Zactar and you can stay on top of the biggest stories at CNet.com/update.
