iPhone 8 debuts with wireless chargingScott gets a hands-on with Apple's new iPhone 8, including its new wireless charging functionality.
There are three new iPhones this year. The iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 Plus. And the iPhone X. These iPhone 8 and 8 Plus models, which are coming September 22nd, are a little different than the X which has a more futuristic design. Eight and 8 Plus seem a lot like the 7 and 7 Plus with a few key enhanced features. One of them is wireless charging. A glass back now enables them to be compatible. With wireless chi technology. So they can charge on the table, or down the road, they can charge with Apple's own air power accessories. Which will allow multiple devices to charge with them. There's also an enhanced A-11 bionic processor, which is supposed to enhance augmented reality. That means better graphics, and also improved tracking onboard the phone to be able to keep things looking like they're standing in place. It's important to note that the 8 doesn't have the dual cameras, unfortunately, that the 8+ does. And they really do feel kind of like the 7 and 7+ before that. If you're okay with a slightly upgraded phone, that might be the one for you. If you want something a little further forward, wait for the X.
