Huawei Matebook wins the west with fast fingerprint loginIt looks like an iPad, it feels like an iPad, but the Matebook runs the full Windows 10 operating system.
[MUSIC] Draw. That's right. This ain't no apple iPad. You're looking at the new Huawei MateBook, a new Windows PC. It's one of the very first computers to cram the full Windows 10 operating system into an iPad size chassis. The MateBook weighs just 1.4 pounds and measures just over a quarter of an inch thick and yet it'll run apps like the Starting at $899 it comes with a decently speedy Intel Core M processor, 4GB of ram and 128GB of solid state storage. They all sit underneath this gorgeous bright 2k screen. Huawei even fits some surprisingly good speakers in here for your movies and games. Now here's the catch. For $899 US, it doesn't come with all the fixins. You don't get this comfy keyboard cover in the box. It costs $130 extra. Want the stylus? That'll be $60, and good luck hanging on to it. Want to plug in a USB drive or mouse? You'll need to carry around this multi-piece dongle to plug into the tablet's single USB-C port. There's just no reason to buy the Huawei when a better Window's tablet already exists, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S. With no fingerprint reader, the Samsung may not be the fastest gun in the west, but it already comes with a keyboard you'll need for about a hundred dollars less. [SOUND]
