How to easily back up your phone
Before you upgrade to a new phone, take the time to back up your old one, so you don't lose valuable photos, videos, and contacts.
The easiest way to do this is through the cloud.
For Apple phones, go into Settings and tap your name.
Find iCloud and tap iCloud backup then start the backup process.
Unfortunately you only get five giga bites of free storage but you can pay to upgrade by iCloud storage then change storage plan.
For android phones it might be backed up all ready with your google accounts.
To check go to settings then search for back up Make sure backup to google drive or backup my data and automatic restore are both selected.
Samsung owners can also do the same with the Samsung account from the settings menu.
To avoid the cloud completely, you can do a local backup by connecting your Apple phone to a computer and then going through iTunes.
For Android phones, plug it into a Windows computer and transfer files across, or for a Mac Use Android File Transfer.
