How to cut down your screen time
It's easy to spend a bit too much time on your phone, whether that's checking social media or playing a game.
A new feature on Apple's iOS 12 called screen time keeps track on how much you use your phone.
Go to Settings and then Screen Time and turn it on.
Once you know how much time you spend on certain apps like social media, you can set time limits.
When you've already used them, you'll get a notice on the screen.
Screen time also has parental controls to keep an eye on how much your kids are using their devices.
Android users who have a pixel device and the android pie update can enroll in a similar program called digital well being.
Download the app from the Google Play Store.
Then go to the settings menu and find digital wellbeing to get the usage breakdown, set timers or start a bedtime schedule.
If you don't have a pixel third party android apps like AppDetox and SPACE have similar options.
