Hands-on with Lenovo's ThinkPad YogaThe popular Yoga gets a buttoned-up ThinkPAd version, complete with a clever hidden keyboard.
I'm Dan Ackerman and we are taking a look at the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga. That's right. This is a ThinkPad branded version of the popular Yoga laptop which was previously part of Lenovo's consumer IdeaPad line. This professional version, the ThinkPad version has a 12.5-inch screen as opposed to a larger 13-inch screen in the consumer version, but the real important thing here is when you fold the screen all the way back as one does on a Yoga, the keyboard actually disappears into this system itself. It's a little bit of an optical illusion. It's not that the keys recede into the base of the laptop. It's that keyboard tray kind of comes out a little bit and covers up the keys and locks them into place, but the effect is largely the same. You then had a tablet that has a screen in one side and a fairly smooth bottom on the other side. It does not have the keys even deactivated sticking out as you find on the original version of the Yoga. I think that's just fantastic and I hope that Lenovo answers to all the different Yoga models before too long. I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the new Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga.
