Foound is a lean, mobile-focused Evite killerDemo Fall 2010 saw the excellent demo of Foound, a clean mobile app for planning "hangouts" with friends.
-Hi my name is [unk] and I'll introduce you the application itself. So this is the style, you open it up. The idea is that here---- when you open it up first time, you see the home screen, we call it the stream and here you see all of you friends. What they're doing, what kind of hangout that they are doing. And what you can do is say you can tap into it and see what is about and where the location is. And you can also see who are your friends are hanging out with---- you know, who are the people they are hanging out with. And also if there is---- let me go back there, I'm sorry. If they have made some comments, you can also see it there. But then, say if you want to organize something with your friends, interesting for a living, just tap on the plus sign, type in what you wanted, type what you wanna do, say drinks -This is not where I am, this is where I'm going to be. -This is actually what you're going to do. -Yeah. -So we do this what first, then have some drinks, say drinks and then you choose the location. So where? Say I wanna do it at VIP Oriental, which is somewhere here in Santa Clara, tap on it and then you choose the spot and time, and then just leave it as is. And then you invite your friends. Say you know, Ann, Daniel, Seal, and my friend Emily, I'll invite them and then also I have a friend who is not in town, but he is in my contact friend in iPhone has this. I tap on it and I'll say I will send this invitation to his gmail, type it here and also I wanna stream it to Facebook and Twitter. So my friends who are an iPhone users will come in and see it---- they can see it on my Facebook and Twitter here on CNET, that's it and everybody gets this invitation and then in real time that they responded, whether they are going or answer in their comments, they can leave it there and everybody gets updated in no time.
