Facebook hires ex-CNN anchor, FTC sues D-Link
This is CNET from CBS 2017 and here are the stories that matter right now.
Facebook has hired ex-CNN anchor Campbell Brown to head up the company's news partnerships starting later this month.
This comes, of course, after the sharp criticisms surrounding Facebook and the spreading of fake news.
Brown's new role will look to ease tensions with the media.
The FTC is suing device maker D-Link, claiming the company's security behind its internet of things devices is inadequate by today's standards.
The FTC claims it's too easy to crack some of the credential code written into a number of products.
D-Link acknowledges the weak security but there hasn't been any examples of hacking.
And finally the CS 2017 comes to a close just not impressed with VR's presence here.
A year after a theme that VR was going to be the next big thing, general consensus Seems that no single company has really pushed the envelope of what's possible with VR.
So has the VR hype train derailed?
We'll just have to wait and see.
