Ep. 31: Hostages, surges, and an ice cream sandwichSamsung may be holding a digital hostage; Android gains ground on Apple, but may soon lose it to the Verizon iPhone; and the announcement of the next iteration of Android raises questions about version numbers. Join Antuan Goodwin and Justin Eckhouse...
Hostages. Surges and it has been sampled to solve that more on this week's edition of Android atlas weekly after January 13 2011 I'm just -- -- on outside Antuan Goodwin. Welcome. It'd be here welcome back from Vegas that can destroy a everywhere in between -- who. Well if you're here last week. Here meaning pages meaning meander -- Alice you missed out on the great conversation with. -- -- reeling from Google. And -- -- grilled him as to the best of our ability in a clinical relieve -- grilling at thinks that'll. And you know it was a fun show so refuted watts I was just going back we can watch -- but. You know enough of that let's get into the meat to of the Droid and terrible irony when we gonna go -- on first well it's and I'll say it again the story we do every week. Let's talk about Android -- standard -- signs Apple IOS on mobile ad network. So there's a study every week about how Lander is better than Apple or Apple -- an Android and it is today -- lesson -- how to lie with statistics says Bonita pointed out earlier. So this one is from -- media. Had. They're an ad network and they were reporting on ad impressions. From basically different devices and in November to bring -- all back. Apple hand. Android were neck and neck at 30% share of ad impressions. As this year this December -- the most recent report. Google captured 46%. Of all ad impressions. Paired with -- OS at 32%. -- -- -- huge. Shift in the amount yet that massive actually commit you -- I think we have to sort of -- caveat this. By same that this is just one ad network and it doesn't really indicating anything more than ad impressions. You know there's probably a lot factors like. Android apps tend to be free whereas the apples of kind of currently paid version of that standard -- -- at exported so. There's more opportunity for ad impressions even though there may be less users and usage. There's apps. Growth I think it is a good thing no matter -- -- that will just. Means that come -- additionally. When you think about it that. Because it means that users are more willing to take if you with the -- And meaning in that think that gives. A bit of com. With -- looking for. -- -- -- to the did the development of free ads. I mean I apps rate you know a lot of people say you know many and -- users don't buy. Apps but you know there's. A lot of us who were willing to look at it and in order to get from the peppery and so that means that you can still get paid developing for the -- platform. -- and I think -- you know we've even talked about how many -- developers and a map Rex -- a lot more money with the paid version or service that supported -- and paid versions. We're -- keeps coming or you know you pay for votes -- I'm now -- -- over the course of two years playing it if you. Really love it that much. It also means -- -- continue to develop the game. And continue to upgrade instantly that it does bio one -- an -- rate. Exactly -- reverts it so. Did they do you know what rate the show pre roll -- in front of the and that now in front of they're very yeah I booted the -- of bum. -- though we -- -- and its union video ad. Now that was weird. -- Wellesley -- playing now the plea now but I don't wanna pay I don't pay -- -- element and if -- give me the option -- -- -- probably pay. A lot of the F that I have my old download the free version. Use it for a couple of weeks and then one day out realized you know I youthful life signal -- the ads and announced a -- and. Print and Democrats than it has not -- much a -- of the ads forever. Of course -- I mean but you know for me like -- I think we're allowed people to buy but kind of an impulse purchase. The couple songs on Amazon there are teams or whatever that really big deal. Exactly let's continue talking about the Android surge here before we talk about why they're gonna die. And second. But first before it gets that -- -- so with the -- -- marketplace. The largest percentage. Team. In apps and -- market. -- App Store. Compared to all other markets slash app stores I guess that black compared to. Yet -- compared all around -- they -- 544%. Increase in the number of apps and their market. Around. Which compares to -- hundred -- -- percent. Four of the IOS market hand. You know 260%. For the Blackberry. Map world there were an act that's called -- But to be clear this is only percentage increase so Apple actually added more apps in terms of like number of -- but because there's so many of them. There's so -- to start with that these be union tweet and so you know if you go from one -- to -- now that's pretty large percentage -- -- -- -- And in Atlanta and China -- there were out. Com. And then. If you just look at free apps actually the but it is a movie that's the atom Nokia Nokia. But -- recall that the App Store they had an 899%. Increase in free apps. So they went from again one to -- the exact thing that really nasty -- has -- part of the instead -- allowing free apps and out her. Yeah hey you know this is more -- -- certainly the you know they handed Merck and has grown hugely in last year. I think we've seen a lot of major publishers. Really put a lot of muscle behind developed and -- it out or port in the iPhone apps -- -- It's certainly I think at this point. It worthy competitor to any other App Store out there in terms of what is in there. It and then additionally the -- that came up a lot of time -- competition -- talking to app developers yeses. It's just easier developer -- you have to go -- irritate. You develop your -- you switched to the market net the end of it yet but there's like ten minutes later again only like -- of waiting for Apple to approve it or you know. Google to improve in this case happens break. Exactly. -- I -- you know I can tell you from our own internal experience here is much easier to develop. For rated reasons but -- have -- it's -- one of them. -- -- -- talks about Lander it's great. Now let's talk about. Either gonna die and they do and this is the ams is probably in the last -- we're gonna do because standard in a -- next week it released in February an idea amicable. That -- there was some news earlier this week that it really follow let but I heard something about Verizon's and at on the a lot of new film. Ray says media I have found coming to Verizon. Was -- February. Who care policy and -- 1011. The public. Know what this means though for the unity that we're in great show are talking about the what does this mean for injuring users rate of -- -- is being. -- one of the leading if not the leading entry care rate you know they sunk a hundred million dollars into marketing and the Droid does ads were everywhere they're actually the reason that people calling -- -- phones droids. In the Android phones and -- -- marketing. Right so. His Verizon's gonna double the amount of money it is spam market next year or do you think maybe it'll ship some of the money from. The Android marketing to. Another phone. There'll definitely be some shift and -- -- think they're gonna and then it the platform income in news completely focused on the iPhone partially because. I mean. If -- indeed if there's so much like. Telecast city built up to it. And then you know then they also kind of understand of their bus users who simply just don't want and I. Really. I don't have never heard of any. A greater I don't know he told you for the show I -- repeat her that -- -- -- mean you have of mentioned that I thought about getting an iPhone that's just because in the course of my business. I review a lot of iPhone apps. You need to know it'd be nice to have a phone around. Without having to run over to in the cell phone editors. -- some -- -- an -- yet -- we might be seeing Verizon had an Apple had to write and means you agree with you Verizon. And Apple -- The -- permit -- what this article says from wireless week that they think. -- really have pushed the concept of choice loop like. We have the best network out there when I found great human and grade grade we have great phones and we have the best network. And we just -- used users choose. I think one thing that could come from this as a result of taking an iPhone on. Is less Android phones on Verizon or -- have I don't know like twelve instantly that yet well. Which is eat too many. I think they should just pick the best phone in each class of -- the phones like the entry level in the mid level of power user in the business user. And maybe international one so like half or five phones so that. It's not like oh here's three phones that all seem exactly and which -- should -- ages should pick the best in class. And simplify it. Users but I mean that it leaves you living a lot of to Verizon -- -- -- what is best in class and I think. It's a double edged sword the -- there's a new injury phone coming out. Damn near every week com -- on the one hand you know you could always wait. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Buying a phone every you know march because that's when the new phones come out every December just -- after -- -- yes because there'll always be. Six months from now when -- pamper me to you know renew my contract. There will probably be in new photo and I don't feel bad about not being able to get the -- present was present it yes last week. -- you know of them and there's. -- biker and I -- -- that I'm just saying like at any one time. Only have one phone -- and of clusters each use case of phone but I mean. Historically at any one time even going back to feature phones -- been fifteen feature phones on. I'm on any network intrusion rather because -- -- that is the wrong way to do it. I think that that's the right way to do -- if they're pushing toys than they definitely need more. How to know if I get a good choice of the iPhone is gonna be the iPhone in different capacities of if they -- -- they're gonna try to push a breath of devices that you can choose from than pissed their ports and Henry -- choice. Every every -- any one of only -- exactly. The united when you want as long as it's from Apple one of the things that I'm kind of scared about is. You know a delusion of users coming over to Verizon. To get the iPhone who've been holding off on the app on the and they are free of AT&T. And suddenly -- -- -- bandwidth with both people and you know what we. Think -- Verizon. Probably gonna do -- -- And managing their bandwidth and network but it's still here lies that -- -- -- out somewhere and as we 500 -- that when -- president thing -- with me. It's true. I am that I have faith and resident. You know -- -- I think this is the best test that resident ever had of their network. That we shall see in February. Suddenly air phones like writing tool. Them. Like a pretty branding to a halt -- the first generation Droid but that's true. In old you need -- -- that I'd do if so by them and maybe when I do -- be able to get a phone that spreading. -- -- -- -- I mean the end of liberty and yes I am. -- funny do with the news came out this week that the next iteration of -- -- handset. Is gonna be called ice cream and receive in their. Alpha build coal you know desserts. Naming convention so it doesn't ice cream and it's actually ice cream sandwich. Which kind of -- -- -- they've off of that that's probably gonna -- -- 2.4. Which. Now this is -- where things get weird because last week if he tuned and you can as good in the low flat back years distribute what we should -- and edit and both. But last week com. Whom we talked about the sort of fragmentation. The tablet -- being three point oh. And the handsets can opinion packet -- -- in the two point X kind of realm it was explained to us that. Three point oh would probably eventually end up on everything. Or at least that's how it seemed it was kind of -- -- explanation that he gave us. But now we have Google releasing. -- to -- for after. OS three point ago. Those now organic and bizarre it is very bizarre. Especially the naming scheme. Rate -- actually you know should this really be as being vs I don't know if that the desserts are thrown me off as well -- typically. A product is what it is and have the version number and it continues on. Infinitely in that direction so you'll never get windows X after windows than any on their target. You know of version three point. One after you know for window. But in this case it seems like. Google's think two point exits for handsets and three point -- for tablet them. -- the -- and when they run out of two point. You know hundred. And hundreds of well I'm gonna I NN. Call BS on that yeah I yeah I think -- will come out with another version but I think it'll be 23. Something. To reach them via the -- three I think ice cream will be the readout on thing. There may I think we'll be another handset only released -- it will just be an update to Korea or are. -- -- -- -- Sessions here weight and -- in -- In -- and yet an immigrant and an update today at 230. He adds it gingerbread and honeycomb is that three point -- sorry wow. We don't know what -- so you're -- -- saying is that the next iteration of injury it will actually via. It'll be in a great to contain any evidence in the next Arabs I think they'll be in the next major release will be -- -- it's going to be three dot one or later okay. And 2.4 will never exist and -- Never is it -- go from 2.3. Whatever their act now to another 2.3 released. And then everyone will merge on. Maybe though everyone will -- on ice cream sandwich. And that'll be real it though the of the 2.3 dot -- line or 2.3 eight or whatever. Number that is that will get a name -- Tuesday it'll just be. Yet but exactly and -- And then someday we'll all be happy with ignorance or maybe you'll just use in the new. The news that Google Maps the Google map of their life but it's terror suggests maybe the next would be -- be telling you GB. Junior in the -- of debris and commitment burns piloting a proper. Jolie O'Dell Arizona desert island -- -- -- I don't know what you read it is there has been observed at all that but there. Yummy. But you put it lecture on -- -- -- -- Moving along -- the day. So we're and a difference over a second here there -- that we so I just got finally the Samsung galaxy have. You know about that by the way over into -- well. I like it -- I'm surprised that I've only played with it for about half an hour now but that form factor and I'm gonna have to go -- apologize to put people. That I told were wrong about the war. And that they. It's you know if I was gonna buy a -- have all these devices so it's silly but that's gonna buy an. I think David's by the task because that form factors really nice is about the same office but only heavier than the Kindle. Down. You know plus you get everything -- today injury tablet has to offer. We're able to screen size you know that smaller screen vs the tenants on the moon zoom and now. Well would you rather have a bigger screen their do you think that it's feels really nice in your hand -- the screen size I mean. It's about wait for me rate so if I don't really care about the size as much as the -- of that iPad or the zoom. In your hands when you're trying to reader. Holds it up anywhere except in the approved Apple leaned back position them. It is. It's too heavy hurt your wrist you just can't hold that very -- -- negate the whole new set of carpal tunnel. You know issues from. Tablet tunnel syndrome -- living that I -- lake development have. Just in the couple minutes that I -- -- -- -- -- the moment ago that I'm living in a never really noticed is that it's very easy to home. And just hold it with one hand while -- like using and -- equivalent of review -- -- this number here. -- has been an iPad you'd have to use two hands and your columns rumored you know one hand kind of silica. And removing them piano I'm typing on it is -- easier than it is on the iPad does that pretty nice keyboard wise to your thumbs can go across the entire screen -- -- of the month. Anyway so I paid six and -- -- that a week ago. And guess what now I kind of got -- -- 299. How -- you don't live with sprint they'd drop the price is is with a contract dentist and I should it. So they were selling it with the contract before four 3929. Says the drop to 200 dollars the one I got the I don't have a contract has -- -- is -- -- But you know I think this is inevitable when you look at -- -- this is the big problems with Samsung Galaxy Tab that. I think -- pointed out when it first came out as you go in to see a Verizon store they sell both iPad. And it avenue look at that pad and -- old beautiful of the screen is basically physically about twice the size and they were about the same price. It seems like a no brainer decision. As you're not to sit there and use them -- -- -- Harry it's probably an hour which I think he would take at least that time to realize that. You know maybe the tab is better -- you. Com. But anyway so with the iPad out and resume about to come out and a bunch of other tablets that we talked about last week about to come out I'm. You know they just couldn't justify this to -- -- and it. At 399059. United -- I think. Plus they announced they're gonna come out the new version of the right with -- the -- union Wi-Fi only model and yet. So I think it is trying to clear inventory. -- -- -- But -- At them to go grab -- if you really care about the though the rate and you probably shouldn't of the learning the -- -- if you're buying it online. -- an. Innovative media -- yesterday and they do. That -- -- buying on the contract anyway when you wanna buy that. We -- he had done I would against it don't buy it on a contract. But that's just my advice. Iowa would have more advise send some hostage news from Samsung for you coming -- after this and bird. Aren't welcome back we are now talking about some nasty rumors. That -- -- rumors about. Hot a hundredth of that work out to your -- about half the situation -- says Samsung. The rumor has it Samsung finished the two to update for Oreo. For this Samsung vibrant. On T-Mobile. Gave it to T-Mobile. But then said -- Don't release that hold it hostage. Because we don't want it come out because are about to announce and release the vibrant for -- And if you update the vibrant and Korea of them to be very little reason for people to buy the four G. Because the only differences -- four -- the and a front facing camera. -- looking at the the story here in them -- is looking at just the tip like an official. -- -- from T-Mobile employee rights. -- thing that -- forgy -- have things stats. The original by -- canned utilized where he fully -- -- -- -- at any. There's an update at the end of this very -- well no I didn't actually Munich it. Update four G fully back the -- -- update will make it the fastest. Non four G phone out there. It's very -- at a really believe though like four -- thing. I mean you have an Internet radio from you have to have the four G radio on there then they let nobody would -- instant Internet. Is -- so it. But -- notes -- sung has been pretty bad -- release an update. I don't know -- you know -- they're -- out of the real believability. That they've got a new -- coming out and they try to discount the older phone to make -- buy them because Samsung doesn't. It'll get their money from from contract particularly for handsets sold. Wrote it in their best interest to -- -- -- new handsets and advocates while lot of a lot of these manufacturers maybe. Are slow to do the update to the busy working on from the affiliate -- -- -- Yeah no I mean -- its interest in -- I think pad I think they're doing a disservice to themselves as well this is true because. It just frustrates people rate it frustrates you as a consumer and -- -- and have a bad taste in your mouth and Samsung brand and eventually you are gonna buy another Samsung. Phone or another prominent news if you have a sense that Samsung just updates really slowly. -- -- to be -- and then. -- you know within the same time I think also. Power users people -- A thumb -- will somebody else noble just an average consumer even know I know but -- are so limited they also wouldn't hold back to -- one. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- And you know that's one thing -- -- different things as they were packing four G onto the end of the in it -- everybody knows where g.s faster than 3-D by. Lake in only the fifth that only notes with more basic concept there. Of how your full be factored you're buying a faster -- people can get their head around that -- they mean to tell me that a and software update an -- -- marginally better -- I think most people don't think that way right. The -- I'm aren't so here's my calmness. I think the part about them holding an -- back true. I think the part about the phone actually four G-Unit. Is not. Among the things they are. So along the same dot com. There was a study done about. How the carriers how -- the carriers upgrade their phones as well as how fast the manufacturers upgrade the phones. And this was done by a computer role by -- Thumb. So ZU it's a breakdown -- carriers and you know we should say that. Not all carriers have the same number of -- so this is totally unscientific not fair at all. But it. -- it is based on percent minus specific. The yes it well the -- -- in the gift of fifty million you can use numbers any way to prove your point. Write it scientifically accurate. But -- A -- -- and I don't know how better explain. I mean Verizon as most phone so. Not surprisingly maybe they have the highest upgrade rates -- this is how many of their phones were upgraded to rodeo -- and the company. Branson was at 33%. Sprint was at 28 point 6%. T-Mobile twelve point 5% in AT&T. -- -- Well Romania to be fair. -- -- -- -- earlier they did kind of just start getting commander of -- to begin with. Com. But you know I mean I guess in David of course begs the question -- visit the manufacturer's fault or is it the carrier's fault flick to -- little bit further rate we've got the similar breakdown on based on the manufacturers of the -- starting at the top with HTC. 50%. Of the phone salesman for -- getting them Motorola's fifteen point -- Samsung is eleven point one and and then LG Dell Sony Apple Dell LG and Sony in that order Karl zero but that report there -- -- Zero yeah I mean. He's TC. Is -- I -- -- received -- like a month ago and I've been pretty happy with that does seem like they've been they've been aggressive with upgrades and I think -- -- -- also really hard to create really committed. User experience where. The other manufactures and -- -- -- for awhile on some phones -- the stock on them. That was supposed to be easy to upgrade and -- I guess that's kind of venture because the ones that they have upgraded have been stock like your -- The -- there's always been didn't upgrade that I think are kind of beyond hardware -- -- -- through her credit do they keep doing it. And it's easy edit these disparate Steve missed the upgrade. And -- -- -- it's one of the first phone food and you have to understand their can be a lot of people -- program. I think also HTC's benefiting from. It. Previous. Relationship with the Google as the supplier of the Nexus One being that you know. They manufactured Google's kind of flagship. You know. Blueprint phone though of course is -- be easier for them. I think two -- immunity had already have that kind of relationship. Men and then I think at a corporate culture that make them. And one did a -- at least up until now one -- -- of the current on all their phones. Yet within their only a 50% so that there with a -- -- I -- a you know that they released some phones towards the engineers may -- it's not entirely fair. Could be you know I think a better number to look at -- have -- a little bit and here's. How long. And -- -- would look at this fairly. As for carriers -- -- -- how many phones that have -- -- but for me textures you wanna know when they're released since they were released an inferior in a two days later. -- -- Extra penalized for that verses. Motorola maybe had a -- out for a year and Apple -- updated -- you're gonna weighted average here. -- gig -- they have a lot of -- as you can look at the numbers because I am I'm looking at the numbers and amid improper possibly -- -- -- site lists now all the minimum numbers -- that way. -- -- -- -- -- -- The but for example going back to Verizon I mean sure they have a -- -- -- but -- -- top which means that to be doing a ton of updating. In order to make that percentage. -- he -- -- But utility -- it really -- depends on how you look at the numbers and I -- you know these kind of tired then and there are useful to a degree. But it does lose numbers it just and I would say it in -- Maryland -- Current. Ready to move on to apps. Like -- that -- excellent they -- part of awesome. Well. Let's talk about that many of -- -- Who will translate something that I installed -- -- come up with an interest in update. Which in theory here who the you can also see that -- have new mail and an eight -- Google translate has. Released an update the most in each team nor talked about feature in here is an assertive. Conversation mood thing -- Where you can. Basically it looks like you are meant to him the phone back and forth. So -- -- Missile button go hey how's it gonna -- -- And it will start work -- Dvds do. And it does nothing at all what it -- At a I don't really know what it then and any talk of -- -- and things like that -- an idea so it was just. Via as -- -- -- Joe Biden. Was how to get in there. We -- the back and forth and it translates so you know -- talking to someone. In Cuba speak different languages you could do this. It it would be really cool if this was like we've both -- phones that I can talk to Miami -- and years and this and how we relate work. -- community cool -- as far as. Now you know -- with an arrangement. -- that you're traveling abroad you know the the level puts Natalie functionality. Is already pretty. Pretty awesome and -- you you're looking -- the museum. You can just say it. And you know what to follow the earth and adults in their language and then they can speak back. Into Bebo and and then if -- have to trust that -- your things you'll run. Often -- the directions -- not exactly -- -- just hold out for them I guess very go to a campaign estimated on the counter. But it's so would say compare this with a Google Talk. Would there is already kind of SMS translation they'll tend to hear it's a program you medium will often -- misses too. Well mean that elephants and an entry that you can speak their language well this is I can make them religious battle fish. If it is. I just wanna be a -- like that there hold without them. That's call circles are to be like ethnic it was first move in the -- -- announced -- -- they won't even speak English so they and everybody will -- Lego robot. It's true living thing about alternates to -- -- a lot of -- a little bit of trouble for two at least. Make it feel like -- target to a person. Who speak your language natively. They're picking up the phone and there's in -- -- and the other and -- as -- and fun how can I help you today. In this building a robot that can be a bit disconcerting. In ninety anyway your climate cancers for that -- that -- -- provide. There -- -- -- found elect them to begin. And -- we're gonna do next show hall through Google translate. Which I guess means we're gonna have to speak Spanish city different and understand -- English. We can do a Spanish version of the -- every do go will produce two versions of the senate next week. Awesome -- quest for or whatever languages like there's another app update now also coming on the Google campus Greek amended the YouTube. Com that you -- -- -- -- -- -- that's one let me tell you couldn't it have your greatest feature ever -- -- -- In -- pre roll ads. Yes the ads that you can't -- will mean usually can't skip on they would -- web site that sometimes actually -- -- browser to. Free couple of inept parents have the video are now on your phone. -- where you want to be you can to lap media land at thoughts and I don't need to hypocritical here as you know. Our hero lets you pay the bills around here as well and that but I and -- by the get -- -- no problem watching and but it. That's the only feature in the update it's not allow and they do have content from -- though there music -- here as well you know analyst -- -- -- -- -- in a dollar sign. The it okay maybe we can Google translate that later -- Ellison com. The -- I felt like they should market this little better it now oh we added adds download it -- Use of -- that Google's gonna go out of business the better support us -- -- The thing is that I think people download it just because -- an update. Liabilities of you know again and the thing -- like a majority of users the Republican it's long but YouTube and update them downloaded to their votes on it. Or they may actually even have it checked automatically. Update -- there. Running the right present VO -- allow -- that. But -- also -- spike could have been. Warming you know -- that's so so close to the announcement of the the previous version of YouTube I don't really know they have been -- little -- so ruled in two. An update that actually had something useful. The avenue it's weird that they didn't do -- the other news that they announced -- with this is that they are now exceeding 200 million. Video views per day on mobile. Which is an astounding number you know it's it's easier to watch YouTube videos. Com on your phone that if Q -- -- -- column B and -- if than in earlier were joking around about. How I think we've -- the pre show -- so much -- -- media sites. And -- -- -- never wants to give them a phone that will make the exception if the -- in the YouTube video I'll probably at least try to watch. Usually they're about to three minutes long if not that -- sort of offering streaming Internet to do you do virtually perfect. And and other -- if any -- would longer videos but -- almost perfect for reviewing your device and you know -- you've -- -- that really nice screens now. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Still I'm astounded by the number. As as someone who works on our video team I mean they can. Who would I get the notepad and armored YouTube poll I'm not gonna do and what a billion a day over our ability taxpayers the -- that. Do you -- more videos in a -- and you know we do an item on there and all of them art. Well -- babies that can't than babies or cat pawing at BB. And and equipping and -- -- There you go test and beaver. AV receiver. This is an awesome show today. Are at less of rapid with a little Google goggles. Another. House today mostly -- -- -- academic well okay the -- was mostly useless before. So this update makes it slightly more useful what I mean if your cheater if you're -- get their message feature here here is. That it can -- sudoku or you -- take a picture of it and boom. Her I don't know why you'd want that -- knowledge elect look at -- forming. These are the solutions in the back of I was little period is -- -- -- defeats the purpose of playing the game the first place viable. Or you pick up a newspaper with -- -- and -- And you solve in two minute -- but -- awfully and -- -- authority that benefit the public prevent conflict concept as an approved that. You can grab information in it at the very visual way of showing it's grabbing information and processing it and in -- something back. -- waiting for them the actually relief of scrabble cheater -- satellites to be useful for me if you know old dispute -- over the possible -- Typing over my opponent. There you -- that makes loves them so they also added faster -- recognition and -- -- code scanner. And the ability to recognize print and -- that newspapers and magazines. -- that those are actually a lot more. Interesting in and useful in my opinion I think than the will mean obviously the incident who -- -- Solution kind of thing. It it makes the the app useful for things outside of to get pictures of things it's -- know they are. -- And I did like that. Point where you could take a picture of a -- eighteen. And it would tell you who -- buy him about it. Yet I mean I got it to work -- -- 3% of the time -- the -- getting more and more useful and I think the direction they're heading and it actually. Going to be scary really useful in the near future but I mean yeah I use bar code scanners and -- of -- -- -- all the time. If I can combine you know the bar code scanner and the visual search and -- one -- Which you know every tick of the -- though and when you're an Android and older in -- -- you've only got a couple -- anyway.
