Emporia Connect senior phones keeps loved ones in the know with remote accessThe Emporia Connect isn't just a run in the mill flip-phone for seniors. It also allows loved ones to remotely access and manage the handset's calendars and contact information via a smartphone app.
Hello, everybody. It's Lynn La from CNET here at MWC in Barcelona, Spain with the Emporia Connect senior phone. As a senior phone you could see that the Connect has very large buttons that are very comfortable and generously spaced on the screen. The screen is 2.2 inches. You could see the text is very large and easy to read. On the side here you could see that there's a shortcut camera button, and there's a button here that will act as a flashlight for emergency situations. On the back there's an emergency call button here that you could press when something happens and will dial 5 preprogrammed numbers consecutively. Now the Emporia Connect also works on conjunction with this app called Emporia ME. The app enables loved ones to remotely control the Emporia Connect. So as you could see here, you can manage someone's calendar, and you could manage their address book and their emergency numbers. There's even a collaborative picture viewing option so you could view photos together at the same time. The Connect will start rolling out in Europe starting April or May and there are plans for it to come into the U.S. Again, I'm Lynn and this has been the Emporia Connect.
