-Hey everyone, I'm Sharon Vaknin for CNET.com here with the scope on how to use he new mail features in iOS 5. On the face of it, the mail app is the same, but buried inside are a few great improvements; text formatting, flagging e-mails and improved management for mailbox folders.
To format text in an e-mail, highlight the word or phrase you want to change,
tap the arrow, and select this formatting button.
Then you can choose to bold, italicize, or underline the text.
Keep tapping to add multiple formats and tap again to remove any formatting.
I minor update here is the ability to drag and drop recipients for one address field to another letting you easily move people from "To" to "cc" or "bcc." Another update that should have been here a long time ago is the ability to flag e-mails as important and mark them as unread.
In the inbox view, tap edit, then select any e-mail you wanna flag or mark as unread.
Then hit mark at the bottom and select your option.
Flag the e-mails, we'll get to flag next to them, which can be removed by hitting edit, then mark again or by opening the e-mail and tapping mark here.
And finally, you can now add and remove mailboxes for easy mail sorting when you're on the go.
Head to the mailbox view and select an e-mail account under the accounts view.
Tap edit at the top and select the mailbox to delete it or tap new mailbox at the bottom to add a new one.
Those are all new mail features in iOS 5, but if you find any other full features we should cover, let me know on twitter and visit how.cnet.com for more awesome iOS 5 tutorials.
For CNET, I'm Sharon Vaknin and I'll see you on the interwebs.
