Danalock wants to defend your front doorBluetooth and Z-Wave capabilities are crammed into Poly-Control's $179 Danalock.
[Music] Hey guys. I'm Megan Wollerton for standard appliances, here with a quick hands-on of Poly-Control's Danalock. This $179 smart lock, looks a lot like the August smart lock, but it also has z-wave function. Quality in addition to bluetooth capabilities and considering that the August SmartLock is 250 bucks, this seems like a really great deal. I am just in the middle of testing this product, but so far I haven't had a whole lot of luck. I installed it here in the office and ran into a bunch of problems along the way. The first was that the base plate didn't really fit. With the existing dead bolt. Now it is an improved dead bolt, but it just didn't really work with the base plate. So that was the first issue. I kind of found a workaround for that and was able to set it up kind of in a makeshift way, just good enough. While I was able to get the dead bolt to turn, to lock and unlock, before I installed this lock, it did not work after I installed it. Now I did get it. To hook up to the app and I was able to connect it to bluetooth, but I've turned solid, I didn't have any success. So I'm gonna try it on another door and report back soon, but, for now, that is just a quick hands-on first take of the Poly-Control Danalock. [MUSIC]
