Cortana and Alexa team up, will talk to each otherA partnership between Microsoft and Amazon has the smart voice-controlled assistants working together to do more tasks.
Cortana and Alexa are now BFFs. The voice controlled digital assistants are teaming up to work together. Amazon and Microsoft announced the new partnership, to make it easy for those who own echo speakers to have it connect with information in a Windows 10 device, and vice versa. But it won't be totally smooth. You see, if you have an echo you first have to say, Alexa, open Cortana and then you can ask about what's on your outlet calendar or any reminders you saved to Windows and it's the same deal th other way around. If you wanna use Windows to control your smart home, you'll have to go through the extra step of saying, Cortana open Alexa. It's not a trick you can try it just yet, they will begin talking to each other later this year. It is an interesting time for them to join forces. In that report, Bezos said he did not reach out to Apple or Google, but he would welcome a chance to work with their assistants. I'm Bridget Carey. For more details, head to CNet.com.
