BenQ projector's short throw, good price
Hi, I'm [unk].
Today I'm looking at the BenQ W1080st Projector.
If you're on the look out to buy a cheap projector for movie nights and care a little bit about image quality, then the BenQ dlp always you should be looking.
The BenQ W1080st is especially suited to impromptu use in a crowded living room due to its short throw lens.
This lens enables you to stick the projector on a coffee table and still get a large screen image.
This short trophy means the BenQ is also suited to gamers, as you can play Wii or Xbox one without getting in road of the projection.
As a [unk] to players, the W1080 is also fairly low lag.
But this projector does have its disadvantages, for example it misses out on the manual lens shift of the 1070 which means you can get ugly jaggies when you're using the digital keystone feature.
Apart from short throw, the BenQ is fairly spare on features, though it does include an onboard speaker, a back clip remote, 3D playback though no glasses and two HDMI ports.
This is a DLP projector and you do get a better picture than an LCD model with both enhanced color and black levels.
Like the 1070, the BenQ W1080st offers a very good picture for under a thousand bucks and would be suited to both the casual movie enthusiast and gamer.
This has been [unk] for CNET.com.
