Apps to help you track winter stormsWinter is coming. So use your smartphone to get the forecast and track storms. In this Tech Minute, CNET's Sharon Profis suggests three apps that help you know when and where storms will hit.
[MUSIC] If you want an all in one app with a lot of weather data, check out Storm. The [UNKNOWN] radar gives you animations of past, present, and future storm activity. The Storm track's feature is the highlight giving you details of storms coming your way. If all you want is a simple [UNKNOWN] solution to know bad weather's on the way Download the NOAA Weather Alerts app. The [UNKNOWN] custom alerts for weather conditions. So first, you'll set a radius of up to 100 miles. Then, choose the alerts you care about. There are plenty of options from tornadoes to snow storms, frost advisories and hundred more. Some of us are really into radar maps. If that's you, MyRadar is a well-designed app that lets you set customized animated radar maps.
